When you get in touch please provide the following information:

• the type of work (blog, web copy, article, sales and marketing materials, novel or other book content, etc.)
• subject matter
• word count
• format
• level of support required
• deadline.

Please provide a 500 word sample for material up to 2,000 words or a 1,000 word sample for text up to 10,000 words. I will work on your sample according to your requirements and return it within 24 hours at no charge as a demonstration of my services, together with a quote based on that sample. Samples for more substantial content will be by arrangement, and there will be a base rate charge which will be deducted from the final account if a contract is confirmed. This part of the process is important as it will confirm whether we are a good fit as well as what level of support is required, particularly regarding larger content. A client will sometimes ask for proofreading only, when the text actually requires editing assistance before it can be finally proofread. This can make a significant difference to the time required to complete the work as well as the cost, and this needs to be clear at the outset.

I provide both tracked and clean, edited copy using Word Track Changes, and all edits and comments are clearly highlighted for easy review.
